MEMBERS OF THE SENIOR CLASS!
*Disclaimer -- Scholarships will be updated and available in March.*
Any seniors with scholarship questions should contact their school counselors.
This is a compilation of scholarships and awards, NOT AFFILIATED WITH, BUT IN ADDITION TO, THE DOLLARS FOR SCHOLARS APPLICATION. It is available to graduating members of Whitman-Hanson Regional High School, Senior Class. Many scholarships and/or awards are available to all graduating students residing in the towns of Whitman and/or Hanson and attending a public or private school, either within or outside the limits of either town. The Whitman-Hanson Regional High School Counseling office coordinates the local scholarship program for seniors of ALL schools. However, school counselors DO NOT determine the winner. The selections are made by the committees or trustees designed by the by-laws of each individual scholarship.
Monetary values for each scholarship listed in this booklet may vary from what is eventually awarded. Amounts listed were awarded last year, but may be increased or decreased. Payment is made by the appropriate scholarship committee. In most cases, payment is not made until the beginning of the student’s second semester in the freshman year after receipt of grades from the first semester, or second semester schedule is presented to the scholarship committee that your scholarship is from. You will find the contact committee member on the back of the red scholarship certificate that you receive on Awards Night. Please know that In the event of any last minute changes, some scholarships listed may not be available.
